"Eleuthera Bahamas"
"Eleuthera Bahamas"
Aerial ocean painting inspired by satellite imagery of The Bahamas
Eleuthera Island is the birthplace of The Bahamas. A group of adventurers sailed from Bermuda, found the island, and named it Eleuthera. Its name refers both to a single island in the archipelagic state of The Commonwealth of the Bahamas and to its associated group of smaller islands.
Eleuthera Bahamas is a long, thin island that stretches over 100 miles. Despite its size, it remains relatively unknown to tourists, making it the perfect destination for those seeking a more secluded and peaceful vacation. Derived from old Greek language, Eleuthera means “free” or “freedom.”
Layered tinted resin on cradled wood panels
Different shades of blue, turquoise, teal, aqua, green, beige, and delicate details in copper and gold
This painting does not need to be framed, the painted image continues over the edges
